Malka Mari National Park Travel
Tucked away at the extreme north-east, on the border of Kenya and Eithiopia, the Malka Mari is perhaps Kenya's most remote national park. There are no human settlements around the area, mostly due to the hot arid climate. It is located along the Daua River which sustains most of its vegetation and wildlife. Most of the park is scrubby grassland and semi-arid bushland with a riparian woodland along the river. Some of the plants found here are endemic to the area.
The wildlife here includes; gazelles, Somali giraffe, the spotted hyena, dik dik, cheetah and Nile crocodile along the Daua River.
